1. Welfare for the disabled persons

1. Handbooks for the disabled persons are issued, and assistive devices or daily equipments are given.
2. Home help services are provided the disabled persons under 65 years old as a support to live an independent life.  Please consult us if you need to move into care facilities.
3. The allowance is paid to the severely mentally and physically disabled persons.

Whether each case is applicable to the above depends on the types and degrees of the disability.  Inquire about further details at the Welfare Section of city hall or Health and Welfare Section. of each branch office.

2. Welfare for the Elderly

1. Various services are provided to promote a participatory welfare society for the elderly to live safely.
2. Admission of care insurance and other various services are made.
   Inquire about further details at the Senior Citizens’ Welfare Section or Public Welfare Section. of each branch office. 

3. Public Assistance

1. The government helps all the citizens who have financial problem in a daily life by the livelihood protection service depending on how severe the case is in order to maintain the minimum living and to strive to be self-supporting.
2. Application of public assistance is made only by a person who needs the protection, a person obligatory supporting the applicant, or a family member living together with the applicant.
   If you apply for the public assistance, inquire at the Welfare Section. of City Social Welfare office or Health and Welfare Section. of each branch office.
