Saku Municipal Museum of Kamakurabori

‘Kamakurabori’ is the Japanese lacquer technique method which carves out the design or pictures in the wood and lacquered its surface and also means its lacquered tableware.
 Saku Municipal Museum of Kamakurabori is the museum of Kamakurabori traditional Craft Man Kiuchi Suigaku started Kamakurabori life and about 50th anniversary he built this museum in Saku-city Usuda and donated.
 In the museum place big or small works on exhibition.
 Especially representative work of Kiuchi Suigaku ‘Take no Sanka’ is a big work and its size about 2 m(78 inches) height and 5 m (196 inches)length. Each work carved in details, brilliant work with lacquered again and again, visitors can enjoy its experienced hand work.
